It's not new but I heard it again today and thought it worth repeating:

A bloke goes into a Saloon Bar for a drink on the way home. It's very quiet and he chats with the barman. As they

chat, he realises the most incredibly beautiful piano music is being played nearby. He asks the barman where the

piano recital is coming from. The barman takes his customer down the other end of the bar and shows him. Seated

at a tiny grand piano is the smallest man the customer has ever seen, probably little more than a hand span high. 

"What's the story with him?" he asks.

The barman replies that he's been out a bit earlier in the day. In the rain, he discovered a little old lady who was

attempting to cross the busy road. He took pity on her and helped her across. When they were safely on the other

side, she told him she was a fairy godmother, that she could grant him his most ardent wish.

"Geez, mate," he continued, "she must have been a bit hard of hearing. That's how I ended up with a nine inch

pianist...!"
