The other day We were travelling from Brunwsick Heads to Brisbane in our 27' Motorhome on the M1. Behind me was a tray truck carrying a Container and we were in a road repair zone with speed limit of 60 kph and then this happened. This guy would not have been able to see the exit. Watch as he then turns into Fuel Service Station. Could not believe what we saw.!!!!!
have seen that a hundred times unbelieveable the standard of driving these days and never a police patrol car around as they are all sitting behind speed cameras revenue raising

Yes fairly typical of local or inexperienced drivers in a hurry, what's the rush anyway!

Thats the Goldcoast for you, we see that every time we are up there & virtually had the same thing happen on saturday on our way home.
The come from behind on your right then cut you off as they cross back to the left & exit just as this clown did.

Crazy driving for sure.
Nallingtoon just to let you know that in most States now contractors sit in the speed camera cars not police :)

That is what I would call an accident just waiting to happen.

Yep we have had it happen to us too, in many states....Les calls them temporary Australians, I always say they are running late for their own funeral. Either way it is going to kill them one day...

I hate that Motorway, hold my breath from the Gold Coast to Brisbane. Frankly I don't enjoy the Qld roads that I have travelled but hope to find some better ones by travelling further than I have done.

Daily event of the F3 in Sydney I move over into the center lane at certain points but have seen them cross three lanes to get to the off ramp and mostly it's real locals doing it each day. Seen a couple try it without a happy ending .

Coming down last week just north of Gilgandra, I was heading towards a large sweeping bend. Here was a car overtaking a B Double, on the outside in my lane coming straight for me. I stopped and pulled over to the gravel. Thankfully I had time to do that as he only just got back in to his side as he got to me.
The look on the truckies face would have been similar to mine. Total shock and maybe a bit of panic wondering if he was going to make it.

I agree that the M1; esp in SE Qld, is full of these kind of incidents.
I had a similar type car with a similar type 'maneuver' actually clip my front bullbar some months ago......
and as it exited via the 'ramp'...the car was on full skid, somewhat facing the M1 (ie sideways) and
All I know is, I'm glad I left the motorbike home that day.
