Two instances of funnies from real life... neither meant to be funny but hilarious because they were... Both relate to a city cousin returning to her rural roots.

Jenny went for a walk through her brother-in-law's garden. A little bit later, he came out to find her in the middle of his pea patch. Jenny was chomping away at a handful of peas and said, "I just love your snow peas!" Brother-in-law was a bit upset; he had to explain that they weren't snow peas, they were his prize Telegraphs about two weeks short of being ready to pick!

The following year, Jenny was visiting her elderly father. He was busy in his garden, spreading fertiliser. Jenny asked what he was using and he explained it was sheep manure. Quick as a flash - bright girl, this one - Jenny said, "Oh, I see they're pelletising it these days!" Her poor old Dad still had a smile on his face when he died a few months later.
