Pulled in here today to find the annual camp draft happening. So a few are in the "no generator" end - the rest on the nicely cut grass across the road - about 50 travellers. Still a great spot. Lots who are driving in are turning around and driving away.

I was next to the cattle sheds a bout 6 weeks ago Jules, nice place. I will call in again on the way back down and prop a night or maybe even two. I have itchy feet Jules so thinking of heading south soon.

Wot's a camp draft? Is that like a rodeo thingy? Or cattle dogs herding stock, drovers doing their thing on horseback and lots of cow poo everywhere? I'm just wondering why people are driving in and then driving away again.

Hope there is still space in the no generator end tomorrow. Do you think there will be Jules?
Cheers

There are quite a few in there, valnrob, but they come and go, so really it is a matter of coming in. The grassed area has about 50-60 vehicles, but there is room for more.
Dougie - don't you leave town yet - we will be there by the end of next week, with Solo Steve - and yes St Lawrence is a great spot indeed.
Gary - campdraft is where guys on horses cut a steer, chase it around some poles in a figure 8 then put it back behind a gate!!!!!!! Something like that anyway I think - will find out tomorrow!!!!!!

Still here for at least two more weeks Jules so yell out when you hit town. Don't hit too hard or the army and airforce will be called out to get ya.

We'll creep into town Doug!!!!!
Think half the army is down here at St Lawrence - camped on the oval uptown, and doing wargames at Shoalhaven - about 40 trucks arrived today!!

The RAAF have been busy here since I arrived weeks ago now. 6 Jets and Black Hawks go overhead every morning and come back late afternoon, exciting though really.

A ship load of Marines have been in Brisbane for the last few days. They are heading to the central coast war games after they leave here.
