Herbie. We are in $ C/P's, free sites few and far between, also mostly rest areas alongside h/way not comfortable in them as there are no others staying there when we go look.
Thanks Dougwe, I think the ball will sink out of sight in the mud and the stumps will float away and the bowler will be frozen.

Hi again. Tonight we are in Forbes. The morning started late because of thick fog, left Balranald 9.am, arrived here in Forbes 4.30pm. Weather was fog, heavy mist, rain, sunny spells amongst the thick cloud base. Traffic was almost non existant. Will probably have a light day tomorrow and only go as far as Gilgandra or Coonabarabran. Weather forecast is fine and sunny about 20c.

Are you free camping or are you staying in caravan parks?

Hi Graden what area are you travelling in as all we do is find a free camp by say 3ish and prop and before long other Rvs will pull in once they see some one else is parked up...After a few times free camping just becomes the norm and you will probably not want to go back into that regimented structured set up ever again..no more out by 10am no more you must park in this spot and do not go past that line and these are our rules and regs and by god you will toe the line ...Just try it a few times ..pull in some place where ever you see others pulled in and before long you will have made life long friends. It maybe just me but I find the people who free camp are a different type of camper more friendly always willing to lend a hand or give advice. My wife was a very no free camping type of person when we started out,but after awhile she realised that she was probably safer out bush some place than parked up in a caravan park with all the crazies that can be staying in them.
Regards Herbie.

You've missed a very nice free camp beside the lake.in Forbes. I stayed there for two nights only a couple of weeks ago. Beautiful night vision of the town lights on the water and in the morning hundreds of pelicans on the lake.

Hi Graden, lots of people stay in these stops that say must be fully self contained and like you have no where to store grey water.
As long as you do not let your water run onto the ground ( most people catch it in a bucket of some type )
and believe me a lot of people who have the means to collect their grey water in different camps do just as I am saying for you to use ,as they do not want to carry extra weight around until they find a dump point.
There is no real rules governing this must be fully self contained rule. They will not arrive to take you to jail. hu hu .
Just use your common sense and all will be ok for you to stay almost any where there is free camping.

We camped at Hickey Falls a couple of weeks ago (before you get to Coonabarabran). Great spot with fireplace.
