The website for the Julia Creek RV Park : http://www.atthecreek.com.au/accommodation.
It states self sufficient not self contained.
Richmond RV park was very unappealing. It was just a vacant block with a fence around it and a dump point.

Does anyone know what type of RV 's are allowed to stay in these parks?
Are they only for motorhomes or are you allowed if you have a portable toilet and a means of collecting your grey water?
Has anyone stayed in them recently?
Cheers

Are you talking about the caravan park below? We stayed there a number of years ago but found it very good with nicely marked bays on powered sites and a modern and clean ablution block. Or is this another caravan park or free camp in Richmond ?

If you mean the caravan parks at these places ...we have stayed at Richmond and Hughenden and these were normal parks with all facilities for RV's
Both these parks very good
Hope this helps

No, they have opened up Free RV stopovers you have to get a permit from the info centre and be "self contained"
have since found out that the one at Julia Creek allows caravans without grey water tanks

We stayed at the Hughenden show grounds while we were up that way from memory it was $6 per night (no power or water)
Have a squiz at the beautiful Coolibar tree not for from show grounds
Richmond..decided to stay at the Richmond Lakeview C/van park million dollar views looking over Lake Fred Tritton .
drive through sites free bbq very clean amenities block. The free camp is only dirt paddock with no facilities. ( used to have to book at the Kronosauras Korner .
In the area there is a wild flower called Flinders Poppy truly a beaut species.

No not talking about the caravan park.
I'm referring to the free camp in town ( http://www.caravancaravan.com.au/entity/richmond-rv-parking-area/qld )
Ok, thanks.
