In fact, I wouldn't P155 on them if they were on fire!!
I am in WA and now use Access Antenna, EXCELLant service, competitive pricing, great technical support...................

Thanks Mark, yes unfortunately, I have been bitten, sold me an inferior product, then i was silly enough to listen to their spin, and even went in a bit deeper (bigger inferior dish)
whilst in Perth, I visited them, spoke to the manager, and attempted to return the rubbish they sold me, to no avail..
i too have now gone to Access Antenna's, picked up a new dish, and Sat finder, and it all works beautifully
Lesson learnt, hope other readers of this forum take note, and give them a BIG miss

Sorry to hear about your likewise experiences Stormy,
Yes, it would be great if anybody else reading benifited, maybe the newbies will, that would be great, at least we and a few others would have paved the way to putting these b45t4rd5 out of buisness!!
There is a shop in Karratha, can't remember the name, something like Jim Satellite Shop!! Anyway, he has a yard out the back which apparently is full of I-Tech World's crappy bean can dishes, he has a sign in his shop, "FREE DISHES" he can't even give them away, the pile grows daily!!
Never mind mate, chin up, there's a lot of us that have been there and a lot more that won't admit it!!
Where abouts are you, you mentioned Perth?

STAY AWAY FROM iTechWorld, see this ad in our local tv mag, they are trying to say what they are selling is worth $699 what a load of crap, what they are advertising is only worth about $140 and how is one supposed to get a picture without a decoder box? I phoned them some time ago and asked about the system they were advertising and the guy was all salesman, when I asked about the decoder box he said that was not included, I told him IMHO the company were thieves and then put the phone down, it really annoys me when companies do this sort of thing and get away with it the more adverse advertising they get the better.

If you search Itec World on this forum, you will get plenty of advice. We went to Albany TV installation & repair (WA), and got excellent advise, service and a new vast system which was set up from the get-go, easy to use.

Maybe we should have a separate thread for these experiences so we can check whether others have dealt with someone before we jump in at the deep end. I always google a company before I spend anything much, you'd be surprised what you can find out about people that way.

I think that members of this forum should be very careful what derogatory information is posted about companies, even if it may be true.
There are companies that will go to any length to refute what you say and even if you don't end up in court you will have to spend money on legal advice long before the matter may be heard in court
You could find yourself in court for defamation and slander and even if what you say is true you can still lose out in a big way.
Probably far better to post your grievances on a site such as notgoodenough they seem to have legal backing that they can call upon to protect themselves and the poster, there are a number of forums that have been dragged into the courts for defamation.
Cheers

Hi David
You make a very good and valid point, but, if it's true it can't be derogatory especially if supported with factual/documented information.
I do agree that care needs to be employed in what is said, and that if some "poor helpless supplier" that has ripped somebody off really gets the hump and wants to fight it, then the poster, as a responsible person, should be able to back up their claim accordingly with facts and figures.
What is often NOT reported by the person complaining is what the supplier has already done to rectify and resolve an issue, and that sometimes it is actually an operator error that cannot be resolved.
I am all for fair play on both sides.
regards Mark

RD and Mark, if you put in your post IMHO there is nothing they can do to you, how often do you hear a barrister in court saying 'in my humble opinion your honour' Its because it is HIS/HER opinion only and cannot be questioned.
See my post below, I use'd IMHO as do a lot of people online.
Mark, btw you will not get fair play from iTechWorld IMHO.

In my humble opinion it can't be slander if I just state the facts of my dealings with a business, and I can support those facts!

Re:Getting fair play from ITechworld.............. It was not my original post and I am not seeking anything from them. I merely responded to Stormy's post about ITechworld and guessed that he had problems, like so many, including me. I did buy a system from them and it was a pile of 5h1t IMHO (I like that!!) but that's as far as it goes. Have bought better equipment from Access Antenna's, GREAT company in all aspects. From there - The Dog Lady suggested a separate thread which I agreed with, and then Roving Dutchy made his comments.
Me personally?? I don't give a toss about what ITechworld may or may not want to do with my comments, I've had bigger players than them in court and won based upon facts and honesty. I do thank you for the "IMHO" bit though, I do like that
Cheers

We almost got ripped off by this very company. It was from their outlet shop near the air port in Perth.(maybe not there any more as this was a couple of years back )
We walked in and started asking questions re sat dish and the other gear that goes with it all.
The bloke I recon could sell ice to the eskimo's.
I smelt a rat,so we walked out not purchasing any thing.
And as for not allowed to give our own personal opinion ,regarding whether it is good bad or other wise, what a sad world we live in if that is the attitude of some people.
No wonder these rip off merchants are allowed to make millions. If the public doesn't let other people know of their experience. Just might happen to save some other poor bugger a lot of money and heartache.
