Would like any information on the condition of the dirt road between PILLIGA and BURREN JUNCTION in the last few days since the rain . Is road suitable for caravans ?
Gazza,
We will be up that way later in the year and travelling onto to Narribri. Any special reason going to Burren Junction as I would think the Bore at Pilliga would be better than BJ.
Thanks
Peter

Peter ,
We thought we would check out both as we are waiting for friends from down south to catch up before heading north.

Hi Gazza, have not been on that road for a few years, but if the dirt road bothers you or its been raining,
go via Wee Waa. A bit more mileage, but a nice drive and a good little town to visit. Can not remember how much longer in time, but allowing
for the reduced speed on the dirt road i do remember that we were pleasantly surprised.

Both places are good. We visit both. BJ has hot showers, Pilliga has cold. BJ has no problems with parking in wet weather, Pilliga has black dirt with a small area of good parking. Pilliga water temp may be slightly warmer, BJ has had it's temp raised. Choice is yours, we like them both.
