Looks like I will be a full time nomad by the end of the year or a bit after that.
Son has informed me he is moving to Hervey Bay with his lady friend in the next few months, will rent out the Biggenden house until the market picks up then will sell.
So I have to get my A into G and get all these other bits done on Myrtle for permanent travel. What an exciting time this is going to be.
Better start making lists.

OMG Marj !
At least you have a few months to plan and prepare !
There's no way I could be a permanent nomad without sorting and planning and working lots of stuff out. (I'm a big "what if" and "what about" person).
Hope things work out for you.
I wish you well, and hope to meet you on the road sometime.

I am certainly hoping son finds some happiness this time round. He's certainly had a rough trot in his life and deserves better. By making this decision I know he can now cope without me, I have done my bit to get him back on track.
I haven't met the lady friend yet but have seen photos.
Looking forward to getting back up there and getting things sorted. Want to get Myrtle tidied up and painted, solar panel fitted and a tool box fitted to the front. I would also like to get the bedding mats re-covered but that might have to wait a bit longer.
Hope to meet up with and share happy hour with a lot more than I already have so far.

Have been trying to get over to see you Patty but things don't always go smoothly here with a recuperating mum and new baby. Bubs has been given medication for reflux. Poor little fellow, but boy has he got a good set of lungs. Mum got an infection in her internal wound somewhere, given antibiotics yesterday and today it burst and managed to find a way out thank goodness, just after I had rung her hubby to get home from work and get her to the hospital.
Waiting to see what tomorrow brings.

Great news, Marj, we're so pleased for you. Hopefully you'll be better than us at keeping up to date on the forum. Fascinating how busy we are doing nothing. Presently at Corella Dam (next to Clem Warton Park) between Cloncurry & Mt Isa until we move into Isa for the rodeo this weekend. Had a great time at Mareeba where we met Rod (Rowdy Rabbit), Heather (Gunnago), Norma (Shady & me), Lin (Traveller) & Jon (Biggles). Great spot this, been here for ten days so far.

Great to hear from you Darrell and Sandra, I wish I was following in your tracks at the moment, another 2 weeks and I will be back on the road, the wheels will keep rolling.
I see you are between Cloncurry and Mt Isa at the moment. There are a few Grey Nomads in Cloncurry at the moment. Billeee and Jules, plus MSG (Mel) and Solo Steve are there and travelling onto Mt Isa as well.
Hopefully we will catch up again soon.

Yes, I'm back, couldn't stay away especially after all the wonderful messages I received on here and privately. I appreciated each and every one of them, was so overwhelmed by your encouragement and genuine friendship.
Have decided not to let one nasty person take away my love of this forum and the majority of people in here. After reading all the posts on my other thread I realise this episode was minor in comparison to what others have been subjected to. I was shocked to see some of the treatments by our fellow grey nomads to others.
Lets keep this a happy and positive forum and enjoy what it is intended for.

Yes HW, glad you came back. I was off forum for a few weeks and once again 'something happened'. As you say, let's keep it a happy place. And you help to make it happy. Thanks for your input you amazing Guru poster. I wonder if Cindy has a category for when you get over the 10000 mark. Surely there's something better than Guru then?
