The brakes on my van lock-up, even though they appear to be correctly adjusted, and the in-car controller is backed off to min setting.
Do members have a simple test procedure that I can apply. Maybe my controller is faulty. and is sending too much current to the wheels. How can this be tested with the car stationary ?

Welcome to the forum, Barry.
It may help if you were able to provide the make/model of the brake controller.
Do you happen to have the 'paperwork' that came with it - the "installation" and "how to use" instructions usually have how to set it up so it works without locking up.

G'day Barry, Does this only happen on the dirt, or is it occurring on sealed roads too? Maybe I'm totally wrong here; but in dirt, gravel, mud, oil etc, I've seen nearly every make of car (with ABS) 'lock up' sometimes for significant distances. I've always been led to believe that there is a point where ABS just can't cut it anymore. This appears to me to be more pronounced on trailers.

Mine always lock up on a cold damp morning until they warm up.
A Teconchia (sp) Prodigy has a set-up procedure in the manual & has a LED read-out on the screen to help.
If you have one of these I could scan & email the manual if you are interested.

I have been advised to go to a Tekonsha P2 controller.
Can members recommend this unit for my Coromal single axle van???
