Anyone travelling through Sunraysia with low fuel tanks and empty pantry it may be worth doing some shopping at any of the Fishers IGA stores. They are offering 50 cents a litre off with shop over $100. Their prices are generally comparable with the opposition so have a look. If your tug can take 150 litres you end up with a saving of $75 which makes $100 worth of groceries pretty cheap.

Makes one wonder if IGA in Mildura can offer that kind of saving.??.The few cents the big two s/markets offer is a pittance.
Where is the fuel watch dog hiding?

I paid $1.54 a litre today in Moama so any saving is good. If that had been Mildura getting at $1.04 would have been magic.

Fishers website shows 4c a litre off:
"Spend $30 or more in any one transaction at any Fishers Supa IGA and keep your receipt to receive a 4c per litre fuel discount. (This offer is only available if you choose not to donate to a Community Benefits organization or Personal Rewards where these apply.)"
Reason I checked is we'll be down that way in a few days. Maybe it's just a local promotion?

I've pretty much given up chasing these fuel discounts. Last shop at Coles they said that for the grand opening of Coles Express in Bundy they are offering 2X4cents per litre discount. Filled from approx. 1/3rd tank and that saved me 2X$1.17. Then my son tells me its cr*p fuel and my economy will go down anyway. Don't know if that's right, but honestly, I see no point in going out of my way for the discount. And as for extra discount if I spend $5 or $10 in the servo shop, seems to me that unless I was planning to buy something anyway (not likely given their prices) this just makes my outlay greater!

A PS. to my last post, just topped the tank up again, and the economy had indeed plummeted. Won't bother with the cheapest fuel again
