Welcome to the forum. Your query is a good one, as I too have an LPG only tug. , Ford Falcon, factory dedicated gas only. I have installed an xtra 80 litre usable gas tank giving me a probable range of close to 900kms. Which should be enough in most situations. It is a pity that Camps doesn't show LPG availability. I shall enquire at the RAC'. My route is thru Broken Hill, Cobar, Lightning Ridge, Charleville to Longreach, so will definitely need to refill.
If you are dual fuelled you will have no problems on the coastal WA run as I did that trip just 2 years ago and had no problems.
Safe travels.. You can also google search ; LPG servo in what ever point of your journey

Hello my G.N.friends I would like to know if there is a map or website showing auto gas service stations in N.T.and W.A.
We're still planning our trip for next year in March. Duration 9-12 months touring N.T. and W.A.
What in incredible age we have lived in. Seen man on the moon, heard the most incredible music and now we have access to the most incredible technology.
Travel safely my friends, as they say it's not the destination it's the journey.
Kind regards Jim Cleland

Hi Jim, I don't think I have seen you here before so welcome, enjoy here and out in the playground.
As to your question I have an app on my iPhone called 'LPG Locator' unfortunately it only works in the area you are in at the time and doesn't get updated enough to my liking.
I have spoken to the three Eastern States Motoring Organisations and they no of no printed or on-line information.
I look forward to other comments you receive.

Hi All, Likewise on dedicated gas in a Falcon. Each of the big 3 oil companies have a dedicated Gas Website. Just google in Shell LPG, Caltex Lpg or BP. Each gives a map with sites listed and distance thereto. Does not mean that the site will always have it. Recent 9000 km trim up east coast to Townsville and the back thru Longreach and central NSW saw us in towns with on gas hose, the only one in town, out of product. Winton and St George. Would be interested in Bent Axle Bobs extra tank if you would Bob.
Cheers chris and Joy

Hi Jim
welcome to the Forum I know you will enjoy your membership there are some terrific people who are members of the forum and as goodie said each of the major suppliers of LPG have a website with extensive details including a phone number which can be useful in remote areas to ensure that they have lpg and are not waiting for a delivery and you can also get a 3 cents per litre discount card from B.P. free but only applies to LPG purchases.

Hi we just did the trip from Perth to Adelaide via Broome, we had gas all the way up the coast to Broome then we couldn't get gas again untill Timber Creek. I questioned the road houses about lack of gas & they weren't too bothered they know we have to buy fuel so if theres no gas we have to go petrol, thankfully we have duel fuel or we wouldn't have been able to go on. I went on www.motormouth.com.au before we left to get info on gas & was told i could get gas the complete trip, once you get to Timber Creek (gas $1.70cpl & petrol $2.10cpl) it is available all the way to Adelaide. Hope this is of some use for you.

Jim,
suggest you try the attached link, I`ve used it for some time and checked it earlier to make sure it was still active & all good, just follow your nose with the answers and submit to get an answer.
There used to be a booklet available in most newsagents authorised by the LPG Association of Australia, but it was discontinued some time back when they went on line, that has also disappeared and despite protests from LPG users that site has also been closed.....no doubt you are familiar with the ongoing increase to retail LPG pricing which in my opinion is a blatant rip off, to the point where I`ve just about had enough and will change to diesel soon (just waiting for a spare $40k to fall from the sky to make the change over).
