Just imagine trying to reverse this one onto a site in your favorite caravan park, I thought this one showed a bit of imagination when we saw it, its brand new and home built.

I think I remember someone else commented on seeing a bendy bus either travelling along or camped up.
Would be interesting to know how many ltrs to travel 100 km.
Don't imagine the CP would be able to give him a top spot either.
Hope they are enjoying their travels.

Yep, the old bendy bus trick.
In their day they used to hold approx 76 passengers and used in city areas. I am not sure as I have been out of the city for quite a while now but don't think they make build them any more. I think the back wheels where a bit up in that pic Marj, I remember your original post and your comment about that. They were never perfectly in line but not that bad. Don't think I would have one to travel in though. Horrible to drive. I have only driven one to relocate it as a favour.

Yes Doug, the back wheels were up a bit. Was hard for him to find a flat bit of ground for the whole length. Probably all the important bits were in tveryhe front bit which was flat.
The writing on the bus said Adelaide Transit.
No, I wouldn't want to try and back it aussietraveller, and I doubt the driver would want to either..

I've seen a couple of bendy buses for sale, either on ebay or Gumtree, can't remember which. Selling them as a potential reno. I would imagine the fuel economy wouldn't be too good. Unless it was on gas.

Yes Gerty. The oldest girl would have been 14 or 15 then another 3 boys in between down to the new baby.

Hi Everyone
I actually drive one of these wonderfull machines for a living,(along with normal buses and coaches) we put about 120 school kids on these and we have 6 of them plus a spare that goes and 4 spares that arent goers. Ours only do 80kph flat out down hill, Ive never worked out lt/k but it wouldnt be great.Not a great choice for travelling around this great brown land of ours.

Maybe down the back is the parents retreat....that's why they cart it along.
Possibly they don't travel far, pull up, Dad goes to work, kids to school.

I saw that bus in Lightning Ridge about 2 weeks ago. If I remember correctly it was parked just beside the Red Door route.

That would be the same one Douglas. I saw it about 2 weeks ago at the Lightening Ridge free camp out at the big emu. That's where I took the photo.
