We were so saddened to see on the side of the road, about 40k W of Barkly Homestead, a badly crashed Caravan. We did call into the Homestead to enquire if the occupants, were ok, and were told they had stayed there the night, and were quite shaken but unhurt. If the owners are on this site, we are very sorry for your loss. I would be very devastated if that had happened to us. So all please take care out there, it is a very distressing sight really, even if its not your own.

I agree Gypsy. A caravan is someone's home - someone's dreams and memories.

In the local paper here there was a storey and pic of a 78 year old who rolled his motor home between Rocky and Gladstone Qld. It must have been his full time home,as the story said he was unhurt but he had lost every thing he owned.
Then yesterday two people escaped with minor injuries after their 4WD and caravan run off the Nimbin road near Old Quarry Rd between Lismore and Nimbin NSW.

The local news mentioned a lady who was hurt near Kiama when a van "flipped". She was the driver and only occupant, and the highway is quite winding along there, plus it was horrible weather. Hope she's recovering ok..

For those that have never driven a bigger vehicle &/or towed anything then there are driver training centres available.
Just watching some people trying to park a van is frustrating to see their lack of ability. Then they hit the open road.
