Hi there all you talented ladies,
Unfortunately, I can't knit, crochet or quilt ... but I do make cards, if that counts. Is there anyone else that is into card making?
Cheers
Kathy

Card making would be a great hobby. Must look into that sometime. There is a great shop in Echuca that sells all the gear for card making.
I was doing beading a while ago but have packed it away for a while so I can concentrate on the crochet and a bit of letter painting.

My Mum did a lot of beading, tried it a couple of times, but cards are more my thing. I have some lovely dvd's that I use to print off beautiful toppers and backing papers. Tried selling them at the market, but have not been very successful. Now I do it for fun.

Welcome Happycamper from Happywanderer. Didn't realise you were new to the forum. As long as we are all Happy, that's the main thing.

Hi Happycamper, welcome, your card is very pretty. I have noticed a few people making and selling cards on our travels, not sure how they went though.
Cheers

I love scrapbooking too. Also make cards which is very enjoyable. Christmas cards are being made at the moment.
I havent been able to work out how to travel with this hobby as I have so much "stuff"and its one of the messiest hobbies I have ever done, still love it though. I usually have paper, embellishments etc all over the place. Quilting is much neater, to me anyway. Maybe someone will enlighten me on how to travel lightly with this hobby.
Lovely card happycamper and welcome to the forum.
I find I am going straight to Crafty Corner first instead of General. Good site and thank you to the person who did it.

Hi Happy Camper
Yes I love to make cards.
Although I don't make any when I travel, as I need too much stuff. I usually knit when I travel.

I love the home made cards people send me but please tell me..... what do I do with them when I have had them on the shelf displayed for a month? I hate throwing them in the bin.

I have some friends who pass them onto each other as recycled cards.they even end up back to the person who made it.
When it all boils down they are just paper,it's the thought that someone has gone to the trouble of making you a card. I don't really care what people do with mine as they will get more as I enjoy making them.

Ha What a good idea, I hate getting hand made cards as I also don't know what to do with them.
I could recycle and explain why....sharing beautiful work originally made by ................ Isn't it just wonderful.

Pam some of mine have cross stitch and lace and buttons. I have been given permission by one cousin to throw them away but I still feel guilty. Yes, I have torn the insert out of some to re-use them.

Wow the cards are awesome. I dont have enough imagination for them. Surprized they didnt do well at markets, i saw some at a market a few weeks ago and the lady was doing quite well with them. I would have thought they would be really popular for markets.
