howdy all: haven't been on here for a while. I have searched through topics on my subject but i'm just looking for up to date info. I live in Adelaide looking for some one/bussiness that can lift my van by 2/3inches welding spacer to frame and rewelding spring brackets . I have dual axal goldstream. I do not want to do a spring over axal not convinced that's the way to go.Has any one any idea of cost.
Thanking any one who respones

Dario in St Marys, have done this sort of thing in the past, but the steel box section will create extra weight so make sure your payload can take the hit, or be prepared to up the ATM.

Hi AL, What problem do you see with the spring over axle option? Some van manufactures offer this as an option. Depending on spring pack thickness, it will give you more like a 4" lift.
I am in the process of lifting mine 2". I am going to fit a straight axle instead of the overlay axle. The cost of a new axle is around $300. I am also changing the hubs from slim line bearings to parallel bearings. I am also changing the rims from ford pattern to six stud landcruiser pattern. this will cost about $500 more.
This is for a single axle van. Parts cost only.
Cheers Pete

Al, Welding an RHS riser is the better of most options. For most vanners a 50mm (2") lift is quite adequate, but if you decide to go for 75mm (3") measure the height of your ball coupling beforehand as you don't want it to finish up higher than the regulations allow. Cheers, Ozjohn
