I have full strength wireless broadband cover but there are so many people here it has slowed down heaps since yesterday.
More than likely it will stay that way until Tuesday when most people have left the area.
I will just have to keep calm I reckon.

My brother had a slow wireless connection which he resolved by switching to a different channel. He lives in a block of units which means that his default setup is the same as the majority of users and therefore subject to bandwidth sharing.
Dorian, I am with Telstra 3g network and use my iPhone 4s for a modem so will just put up with it for a few days, no big deal really.

Hi milo, how's you dad going now?
I don't care about going off topic in Dougwe's posts, cos he blame's me for everything, my backside is hard so I can take a kick or two.

Displays each wifi connection within range and what channels they're using, signal strength, etc.

might be a good program but did you see the price of that. $199
I'll stick with Dorian's link, I can afford that one, it's free, I love free, I can tell you that for free as Dougwe would say.

eek!! $199?? I just used the free version, gave me the info I needed when I was living in a block of units in Sydney. Showed me which channels the neighbors' routers were using, so I just set mine to an unused one, which seemed to have a small effect although it might have just been the placibo effect.

Now I noticed that last wed they were threading fibre optic cable through our streets for the broadband.
Now I am NOT going to connect so I hope when the local businesses hook up and those locals with plenty of dosh, my 4g will again be back to high speed as it was when I got it a couple of years ago.

Another useful tool for analysing wifi connections is inSSIDer, from

Displays each wifi connection within range and what channels they're using, signal strength, etc.
