Tidying up a man cave can be risky if it is not your man cave

My man has been away for just 9 days and I thought I would surprise him by sanding some rusty area of a cupboard that I had promised but never done. Trouble is that I decided to tidy up what looks like his newest man cave. Will he be happy or annoyed? I wont have to wonder for long as he comes back tonight.
There is till much to do on our bus conversion, but bit by bit we are getting there.
OOOhhhhh stepping in dangerous territory there Michelle - but you did a good job, I'm sure!!!!

Nah, my sister does it all the time!
When he comes in and whinges, she says "Put it back then. It's all in (the shed, the bin, the tip, wherever)."
He never does.
It gets like that cause he's lazy, and she knows he's too lazy to go and get it!

I don't think he will mind Michelle, he will be happy to have a clean canvas to mess up again.
I have promised myself to clean out my shed when I next call into home base for a stopover.

You are one very brave lady Michelle. I itch to get into my Man''s Man cave. He has 43 yrs of accumulated "stuff" even a mention of just tidying it up brings on the STARE.
Its our garage and I do keep my gardening stuff in there so its not his exclusively, but somedays I just give up looking for things .
It has to be done eventually as we plan on moving in the next year so that will be a very interesting scenario.
I am sure you did a good job.

We are packing ready to sell the house...I am packing the house and it's les job to pack the shed...he hasn't started yet.
Though after cutting his finger off while being stupid, I told him it was My Cave from now on and I'll decorate it up...ha ha ha. But he has a lot of stuff in there, and I'm not touching any of it...

I have cleaned up my mans cave a couple of times now.
FOR THE LAST TWO KERBSIDE PICK UPS
Boy, did he crack it.
I was hauling s*** out of there left right and centre.
He was going through it as I was throwing it out.
The funniest was when I was taking old mowers up to the gate.
I started to push the old ride on up.
Too expensive to fix but, the motor still goes.
He yelled at me that he might want to mow the back paddock with it.
I said HOW????? BACKWARDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Coz that's the only direction it will go.
Anyway, he won that one

The difference between a man (XY) and a woman (XX) is the little dangely bit that fell off the 2nd X.
Scientists are not sure what happened to it or where it went , but a group of students are doing their PhDs to find out whether common sense, problem solving and general tidiness are linked to the missing bit.

Are they the same scientists who decided
men should wear cups to protect their crown jewels in one century.
But didn't think of helmets for their heads until the next ??????

Oh Michelle dangerous territory there. I use to that at a place I worked. The boss fixed vacuum cleaners as did his dad, well I think the first vac was still there. He use to go away every year fishing sol I would clean up around the office area and leading to the stairs, hhis done would clean up the workshop and we lived in clean for a month. Ken would come back, go crook, he couldn't find anything and then within a week we were stepping over stuff again and me trying to find my desk and chair.
At present I am watching my bil doing a lot of tinkering with stuff everywhere, glad my sister has gone to work or she would cracking it big time.

Well from a male point of view. Clearing out stuff is extremely hard, these pictures are only my electronics cave. It now needs extensive clearing out, as we need to sellup & downsize the house. The hardest part is the huge amount of components & workshop manuals that ive thrown out. Used to repair TVs, VCRs, microwaves & just about any thing electronic & refrigeration. None of which are worth repairing any more. Havent even started on the Mechanic cave.
But the same can be said of women's stuff, for instance those racks of clothes that will never be modified to meet madam's dimensions and taste.
What is disturbing about the posts so far is the obvious, enduring discrimination against men that sees them relegated to a mean and uncomfortable dog-box without any slightest concession to comfort, while Her Indoors' ensuite alone is larger and she commands the full ship and economy.
Sadly, cleaning up has become easier because there isn't much that can be repaired any more.

Selling the house to pay for a new van & tug - partially cleaned out garage, next day you guessed it, I needed some of the stuff that had been tossed into the skip the day before and removed that morning - it's like a law of the universe, just like gravity. The as soon as you chuck something out you'll want it back again.
