Petrol stations are running out of fuel in Victoria due to Transport company having to put trucks off the road since the bad accident NSW last week. Not sure about other states.

Heading that way here in Batemans Bay as well Judy, I got some gas today but many pumps had not in use signs on them. It will be interesting if I get any tomorrow night again when I get back as I have a trip to do tomorrow. There are still a lot of ACT people around as well because it is still school holidays there until next Monday so hope they can get back home OK.

Yeh that would be right. Our new fifth wheeler will arrive and there will be no darn fuel to go tripping. I wonder if diesal is running out or just petrol and gas.

Yes. And it would happen just now! I have a coastal trip planned for the coming week-end. Hopefully I'll be able to fill the jerry can tomorrow and the tank on the Kombi. It will be touch and go, but I should just make it.......... I hope!!

Hi All in defence of the company that is involved in the incident, from my years on the road they are huge company with several hundred trucks kept in top running order, a very good friend was there driver trainer for many years and it was on going part of the company policy to accept this training.
Hope the out come well be quickly settled not some knee jerk reaction . Ralph

What's the bet the price in Tassie will skyrocket due to these shortages, even though issues will likely be resolved before it actually has a chance to impact us?!

I notice that Scott Petroleum has it's own tankers and are still on the road. I got a jerry can full of premium this afternoon just outside Ballarat (Vic) and a Scott Petroleum tanker was filling up the underground tanks. The shortage seems to be mostly affecting Shell and BP who use the mob involved in the fiery incident.

Batemans Bay Sth Coast NSW is just about empty as of 6pm today. Luckily after my big day out I was ably to fill up with gas but no petrol, I have about 40 lts petrol in the tank as well as the 60 lts gas so not going far for a few days at this stage.
