In tonights news the Coffrs council is again reviewing the short term camping at the jetty, The mayor is objecting to it, whats the chance that the caravan park owners have given her a hard time since the discission was made to continue allowing the 48hr stay.

Let it go through , allow "self sufficient" m/hs & c/vans park up for 48 . .. But
Have th Rangers go through a couple of times a night & hit th 'freeloaders'(usually b-packers)
with a $50 fine.

Its simple-Don,t go there. If Coffs council doesn,t want us, just go somewhere else, and take your money with you.I would rather free camp anyway, but don,t mind paying for basic facilities.Vote with your feet.........Bill

In defence of Coffs Council, they DO want caravans/motorhomes there, what they don't want, is a bunch of freeloading campers on the foreshore.
The Ocean Beach caravan park won three awards this year, for which they are to be congratulated. (Council owned)
The staff are tops and the council grounds staff, the same.
The Coffs Harbour township is also a credit to them.
We look forward to going there again next year.

Reguardless of who owns parks they are all trying to dictate where we stay; in other words they want to take away our freedom of choice.
Just imagine if all small business owners were on the same band wagon, jumping up & down about every one going to the big supermarkets instead of the small business. (which we should be).
Its our choice, Coles, woolies or the corner store. C/parks or a freeby.
