Yes, the new motor has arrived in Port Augusta today. Workshop have already started on installation, so should be on our way by early next week at least.
Motor comes with two year or 40,000km guarantee, so that's good. Maybe I should rename the cruiser Black Beauty.

You arn't going to put that nice clean engine in THAT engine compartment??
I hope you both realise you are going to spend at least another week in the great Pt Agusta just to clean your tug up to the standard of the new engine.
Safe trip when you get going

No Jules, we will be motoring not sailing. Don't want to get the new motor water-logged do we? That could lead to another sags

Yippeeeee. Brandt, You had better give that engine compartment a real good clean to match that shiny new engine, instead of going to that party at my place that I won't be there for.

Well, that's the end of all the yummy goodies from the kiwis done and dusted. They will be too busy giving that shiny new black engine a good run for it's money from now on.

Good news guys, by time that donk is fitted there wont be much of that dirt visible.
Be warned , that Dazren is out to hijack some of those goodies when you cross the border

Hey Brandt, I could look after your tug for you when you go back to NZ if you like. I could then do the Gibb River Road again and test out that new engine for you, now I would only make offers like that to a good mate like you. When you get back here I could let you know how it all went. You could then compare your experience with the old engine with my experience with the new engine.
Keep in mind that it is not good for a new engine to sit idle doing nothing for more than two weeks once oil has run through the system.

Maybe I'll have to leave him in Australia then Doug. In fact he will probably be like all young boys and want to take it to bed with him.
