Hi there, I have a copy on my laptop ... No Mac version which is a drawback ... If you are disciplined enough to keep your costs promptly inputted and keep it up to date, then it is a good way to keep track of your various costs, mileage, accommodation, food etc and you can add your own categories, campsite info (it links to GPS coordinates also.
It is a bit tricky when you upload photos and takes a bit of time to figure it all out especially correcting campsite data input errors. i guess it really depends on what you want to do with it ... Blog? accounting? Photographic record?
I know some people are IT savvy enough to program and use their own spreadsheet or data base and save the cost ... i did not consider the cost over the top And personally I think it is a good app IF you want to record that type of information.
hope the above helps.

I have been using Nomad Notes since I went full time on the road in Feb. I am in the
habit of entering details every night and have a complete record of everywhere I have been,
how much I have spent, fuel usage etc. If you miss something you can always enter it later.
I really like using it however the photo storage is clumsy and sometimes suffers broken links.
It is easier to use than a spreadsheet and more elegant. Worth the money for me.
