Said I had to update and verify my email account within 24hrs or it would be suspended.
Rang up bigpond and they said it was a SCAM. I deleted it straight away as I thought it might have been.
Was a bit worried that I had opened it to read it though. The guy at big pond said all was ok.
Just wonder how many people would click on the link without checking though?

Kiad, get a copy of Mailwasher Pro and you can then see emails that are on your server BEFORE you download them and you can delete them from the server.
With so many scams now I do all my emails on my tablet (android). As all my apps are backed up on my laptop and cloud I fear no emails . Tablets can be useful after all.

I received this email yesterday, with both a word document and a pdf attached (not opened)..
Dear Lorraine
As per our phone conversaton this afternoon.
A new issue has arisen lately affecting digital TV around 6pm onwards. There is a problem with a certain model of 12v LED down lights causing this interference and ACMA is aware of this issue and steps are being taken to resolve this. You may be able to locate the offending LED globe by talking with your neighbours and switching off the power to houses one at a time. However, if you have no success please complete the attached R202 form with your contact details and a description of the interference as well at times it occurs. At this stage the signal measurements are not required as it may be caused from an LED downlight.
For the record, there was no previous conversation. Has anyone else received an email like this. It did look rather official. It was from the Australian Communications and Media Authority
