Hi,there ... Anyone been at Dumeresq Dam recently? A few conflicting posts in other forums re water ... Drinking water there or not or only dam water? Sounds great for a free camp so close to a major city. Looking for a close by destination for a week or two in November .... Many thanks

No drinking water - there is a water tank - but it is not drinkable - flushing toilets and a picnic shelter with tables - really nice spot!!!

Really nice spot, just take your own water, but worth the effort.

Hi Libby & Charlie
There is a water tap a few meters uphill from the dump point in Tamworth

Its a beautiful spot but you need to take water. The tank is small off the roof of the camp kitchen and was almost empty 3 weeks ago. Best to top up containers at Visitors Info Centre. We are spending next week up there. Can't wait.
