Out on a caching weekend around York and stayed overnight in the 24 hr stop over by the Avon River. Free with power available if needed. 15amp.
Nice BBQ (free) and a lovely view. Easy access, drive in and out.
We were a bit dubious about it being Saturday night. There was a group in the park about 11pm. A little bit of noise which didn't last long. The toilets close at 7pm and open again 7am.
We met one of the Councillors out walking in the morning who ask what we thought about the stop over. He told us he was one of a few, on the council who had pushed for this stop over with the view of bringing people into York and boost the economy to local business. We had a great talk with him and commended the councils view on GNs. Instead of paying exorbitant accommodation fees we enjoyed some of the local tourist spots and had a wonderful time. Can recommend the Residency Museum in Brook st. Lots of interactive activities for the youngsters ( had a great time with them ourselves)

So that's what it's called. We were directed by the lady from the lolly shop can only say it runs parallel with the main street on the river side. Enjoy your stay.
