Try again where did my post go, talking to a mate of mine recently who's done a bit of travelling reckons not worth going to karumba for fishing as there is now a small fishing fleet there that has wrecked the pleasure fishing is this true anyone been there recently

I tend to do my fishing at the co-op!! that way I can catch whatever I want lol.
I liked Karumba because-nice prawns fresh off the boat and half the price of the colesworths and other "fisho's"
I liked Karumba because the Barramundi is as fresh as you can get and it is also the right price.
enjoyed the view too.

We were there for a short visit this year. Looking around I doubt its the fishing fleet that has wrecked the pleasure fishing, the 'pleasure' fishermen seemed to be doing that all by themselves. It seemed all the long term stayers in the caravan park had multiple freezers full of fish they had caught, in most cases more than they could possibly eat if they ate fish every day for the rest of the year. Presumably most either give it away to people when they get home or it ends up being thrown out. The fishing possession limits were obviously being ignored and not enforced.
