I think some of you didn't see my other posting on my thread last week. We got to the outskirts of PA and when I tried to increase speed, the auto just started slipping real bad. So we just turned around and came back to the CP.
Spent the week making phone calls to Melb. and Brunswicks in WA. Finally yesterday managed to track an adaptor lead down so the auto transmission teck here will be able access the transmission computer and hopefully sort the problem. Will be Air Bagged from WA over the weekend. So hopefully by middle of next week our problem will be solved.
Auto trans is slipping in 3rd and4th , with no lock up in either also. Was working well up to the old motor crapping out.
Done some chainsawing at a church here the last few days to keep me out of trouble.
The local minister invited us to dinner last night, it's getting serious when you stay in a place so long, that the locals start asking you to dinner.
Have had lots of wind here. TV last night said Oct has been the windiest on record.
I have spent so much on the Cruiser over here, that when we go home the economy will crumble.

Thanks for the phone call the other night Brandt and Lorraine it was good to here from you.
Maybe when the tug is back on the road you should stick to baking scones and camp oven casseroles/stews and stop hooning around in the tug, it might be a V8 but it's not a V8 Supercar you know .
Just think, if you had have broken down in Howlong, need I go any further?

Geeez Cuzzies, you sure have had your share of set backs. Talk about running over a chinaman, I reckon you must have cleaned up a whole tour group. I hope the transmission is sorted out in a hurry , then she'll be "sweet as" eh? Kia Kaha!

At least a bit more to do in PA than Cammoweal, that's for sure! Fingers crossed for you - still at Greens - Yeoeleven, Triple333 and us - new arrival expected today - and who knows if anyone else is coming!!!! Wait and see!

You are dead right Val, could have bought a low mileage cruiser. But then I would not have contributed so much to the Aus economy.

Stay any longer and they will make you get a pass port to get out of the place.
Hope all this Murphy's luck is behind you now and you have many Ks of happy carefree travelling in front of you.
Was wondering how some one with no finances behind them would have got on in your situation. A really scary thought.
