Well maintained but smaller park located in the old gold mining village of Blackwood. It's located in the Mineral Springs Reserve and has a lot of excellent walking trails etc. Dogs allowed on a lead, but cats are not welcome unless they are contained inside the caravan/motorhome. Heaps of bird life, so can see why they don't want cats there. Fee payable to visit the Mineral Springs Reserve unless staying at the park. Site fees: $35 per van per night, $25 un powered. One caravan for hire at $50 per night. The friendly Crown Reserve Ranger Brad and his lovely wife Jenny are very helpful.
A nice place to stay in such a lovely area and experience a little peace and quiet. Electric bbq ($1) in the park, other bbqs in the Reserve are .20cents... but have not tried them! There is also a camp kitchen at the park. Nice picnic area in the Reserve if you feel like taking a stroll and then have a picnic.
Visit Trentham Falls which is nearby if you can drag yourself away from this lovely area!
