its great coffee and pods from HN, Good Guys, Myers and all the big stores, not able to get them in supermarkets, about $11-$12 a pack, we use ours in the van, have a brevlle machine for home, and the coffee for both is great, for the home machine I have a coffee sent from Queensland, been trying out a few and over the years this one is the best, will go look for the site, back soon.

We are looking for a small coffee making machine for the van have been looking at pods thy seem to make a reasonable cup or mug of coffee, been using a plunger in the van up till now but its not the same as espresso with milk in it. any one using pods and if so what make small would be nice only a tiny van lol

we use an "Atomic" coffee maker. a bit pricey at around $450 but you can make espresso and cappuccino on a gas flame or a campfire when away from power supply.
it makes a real coffee.

The Pod machines are awesome and convenient.
They use a fair bit of power to heat the milk frother for latte in case you were running on batteries.
The one mentioned by grandpa above or one from Wollies given either is convenient to get hold of pods when out and about.
Ahhh nothing better than a really good coffee under the stars.

the cheaper machines use powered milk so be aware of that, some people do do not like powered milk, me included.
Here is my machine, all big stores have them for $249 with no postage
Wombat i saw one of them in HN the otherday just the basic one looked good for what we were looking for
have you had any trouble with it and are the pods easy to get

Vote for the Nesspresso Pixe here not cheap, neither are the pods but the original pod machine, I beleive.
Life is too short to drink bad coffee, we got hooked on powered creama in Bali many years ago.
Or use frothier, heats your choice of milk in 90 seconds.
What ever you get ENJOY a great coffee somewhere, some time, in fact anywhere any time.

Recently i bought a small Delonghi Dolce Gusto for half price at Coles and while the pods are a bit pricey as you need 1 for frothy milk and 1 for coffee, it is nice I now buy the Latte pods as you only need 1 and they are $8 a box for 16. and just have once or twice a week. I plan to take in my MH when I head for longer trips, but will probably only use once I get Solar or am plugged in.

I use an Aldi machine and use cream instead of milk.
Just add the cream before making the coffee and then a stir at the end.
I always push a small amount of hot water through after removing the pod. Just use the preheat button.
The use a bit of power for the heat but not a lot in total as they are very quick, but you do need a good inverter to run them.
I use a peculator from BCF for when I have the choofer going.
I use a presso Rok. A very interesting coffee Machine that is fully manual so use no power at all. I first came came upon it reading a blog about a member here who free camps in rugged isolated outback places,although he is no longer a member.
There are plenty of YouTube demonstrations of its use. It just uses ground coffee so no pods either. a small amount of hot water is poured into the top on the machine and then two levers are pushed down forcing the water though the coffee at pressure into either hot milk or water.
I don't think it's as good as some coffee machines but it is certainly better than plunged coffee. it's advantage is no power or pods needed. It took me awhile to get used to it and it does a good enough job for me, I would say a very convent coffee machine for those who bush camp,use battery power or want to cut costs and have minimal waste.

I use the plunger and heat milk up on the stove and wisk with a little wisk thing that I push up and down to make spin. Works for us OK. The trick with the plunger is to not wait very long to push down plunger. I will time it in the morning. I pour in the water coffee and put porridge in bowls then push down plunger and that is about right timing, unless I get disrupted then coffee is spoilt. Once plunger is pushed does not seem to matter how long you wait to pour into cups.
But hey, I am not a coffee connoisseur, just enjoy a good coffee in the morning. No more super market beans for me any more.

I just read this on another forum and thought it might fit the bill with some of you looking for a brewed coffee.
We use a Bellman stovetop espresso machine - on gas, can be used on electric hotplate or over naked flame. Can make 3, 6 or 9 espresso shots, and also has a wand for steaming (frothing of the milk). Have had it since dec 2010, and still going strong. Only difference in coffee is the brand/quality of the coffee and the grind. I bought mine on-line through http://www.lacremacoffee.com.au/home/ but I don't know if you can still buy it this way. Have seen similar in good kitchen ware shops. NR, it is not raelly milk, I did some reserch a while back after going to 3 shops I was told at each of them that the cheaper machines have powereded milk were the Electrolux machine is all coffee and you add your own milk

That must have been what it was cos my site tracking program (Traffic Lights) saw it as a problem.
That coffee pot looks good but only 1 cup per operation, but the idea is good.

Salutations cowboy!.... I have 2 .1 at home..aldi everyday use with Milano ..much nicer than any instants..1 in my van which I really like and use the geny wonderful coffee fortissimo ...I treat myself on occasions not everyday machine is compact called "PIXIE " ...takes up little space ..bought through the net much cheaper than any store....wot cowboy does not like coffee ...real coffee it's just money....treat yrself cya ...

Yeah, drip machine is good. I use condensed milk and in the evenings a drop of whisky is added to the mix.

No idea. Never seen it or shopped for it there. I usually patronize Woolworths and they have a good range of ground coffee. Don't buy beans, too lazy to grind. Presently at my home in Philippines and I buy a local ground coffee, Davao, from the City of the same name. Good as any I've tasted and about $8 to $9.00 a kilo. Usually take a few kilos back to Tassie.
