Morning all from Leslie Dam ... I notice many of you use an online blogs to keep everyone enthralled, envious and up to date with your travels. We currently use a private Facebook page for family and friends to keep them up to date with where we are and what we are doing, but now we are looking to travel further afield and for longer times next year, i would like to find out about using a blog site ... preferably free!
if any of you who have travel blogs are out there, can you please share your thoughts, ie. what sites, data usage, cost, can you access off line and then upload, etc. etc. i use nomad notes and find that is good just for our own use and recording places, costs etc, but dont intend to go for the paid blogging add on. all of the GN members blogs i have read have been great and have provided some great ideas for where to go and what to do and photograph. I will however give the great white shark experience I just read about a big miss, we will stick to something a bit less exciting. It is great however that you all have shared your experiences with everyone on this site ........ Thanks .....

I use a program called Aussie Travelogue which is a travel planner / recorded that allows you to create a blog or web page straight from the program.
I don't do it but it is there if you want it.
The program enables you to record many things as well as photos and fuel usage etc.

Hi there Kaid, we have been here since last Wednesday and last night and today have been only less than perfect days ... Just some wind last night and this morning but it should warm up ..... other than that ... Absolutely perfect weather .... Kayaking morning and afternoons, not much fish being caught, but that's not stopping anyone from getting out in their tinnies and kayaks. Make sure you arrive during the week as weekends fill with the locals - plenty of room though.... When are you arriving? We will be here at least another week or 2 at this stage. Hope to see you

I suggest using a site like http://photobucket.com/ or
http://www.flickr.com/ to upload your photos, and when then you can use
that to put in your photos on your blog/website..
good way to back up your photo's too..
hope that helps
