Well folks we moved on this morning from the Genoa free camp into Mallacoota till Monday. Everything is running fine with the van so happy with that. Ruby is absolutely exhausted by the days end with all the exploring to do. Weather has picked up a bit with a southerly and rain is predicted for the next two day's but that will be OK. as we are living the dream.
I would hazard a guess that you are trying to work out why you have not embraced this lifestyle years ago.
there is just so much serenity a bloke can soak up in one day.
enjoy

Looks like you are living the dream Gaz @ Roz. By the way what breed is Ruby, we are thinking about getting a smaller dog ,I quite like king charles cavaliers, but Ruby looks interesting as well. Sorry if I have changed topic I certainly didn't mean to.

Hey Ashley, she is a Cavoodle cavalier X poodle she is 12 weeks old and just great. She has taken to the travelling quite well and has a permanent spot in the van of a night in her bed. Toileting has been a breeze a couple of accidents but you have to expect that. We got her from a breeder in Coonabarabran NSW.

Well you went past our door and missed a cuppa! Hope you enjoy Mallacoota. It was wet and windy when we last called in there to have a look see. Windy road going in but a nice place for a rest.

Looking good there C1 and C2 looks very relaxed indeed but as for poor little C3, she looks buggered for sure mate.
Make sure you do some research while there. It's not all sitting around like a movie star you know.

You'll love Coota.
One of the best coastal places in Vic for variety. There's Mcloughlins beach too if you're heading back to Melbourne at some stage.
Cheers

When you leave Mallacoota turn right at Genoa then travel approx. 10klm to turn right onto a good gravel road and head for Wallagaraugh retreat where there is a bush camping style caravan park that is a great place to stay for a while.
It is on the Wallagaraugh River that is Bream Heaven.
We have stayed there a few times and always stayed longer than intended.
There is limited power available and the amenities block is very clean etc.

Thanks everyone for the tips and places to stay, we travelled to Cann River for a look today and stopped off at the Bakery and had a very nice lunch. Will be heading to the Golf club tonight for dinner. The only problem here at the moment is the wind driving me crazy along with the fly's never seen so many not even up through the Territory.

Be aware the Alpine Rally is running in that area this weekend and accommodation can be patchy - prices high.
