Now while Greens Lake may have its famous thong tree, while at Lake Ratzcastle Ole Grizzly and myself discovered a tree of a different type.
I am guessing that the soil being different there makes for different trees.
This one we can only assume is a good specimen of an MT Liquid Amber tree. It seemed to quite well established and growing in the direction of the prevailing winds.
Now we are taking nothing away from the infamous tree at Greens but thought you might like to see what other Lakes are producing.
Amber liquid would have come from the upturned and half buried container, or so ot seems to me.

A great find Sharon. Now it has been catalogued and identified, we will be able to look for other examples of this previously unrecorded species.

Good on you Shekon, its a good day when you find one of those in as-new condition, before the hoons have smashed it into foot-threatening shards.
We usually only find the broken ones, more difficult to collect for binning.
