Hi all, we will be in the Greens Lake area soon about the 5th of Dec to catch up with some friends. We will drop in and say hello around that time before we move onto Melb to catch up with kids. Put this up on the Greens Lake forum as well just to make sure it gets around.

There's even a wedding here today. A large marquee and portable toilets have been set up down the far end. A hive of activity.

I wonder if there is a place like Greens Lake in NSW somewhere?
If not maybe some suggestions as to where we could have a GN's special place.

Gday...
Marj (Happywanderer AKA The Master) did the initial reconnaissance which "discovered" Greens Lake and hosted the 'inaugural' GN Get-together about three years ago. Quite successful and continues to be so as evidenced by now having its own sub-forum.
I guess those in other states who would like "a Greens" in their 'back yard' need simply to identify a pleasant place with space, basic facilities, no camping charges and a nice water vista. Then generate some interest amongst GNs to 'get together' and WALAHHHHH .... there ya go - ya got another "Greens".
Perhaps a word of advice. Greens is popular from about end Sept through to end Jan - for 'summering down south' - therefore many (if not most) are either at, or visiting, Greens.
Cheers - John

We have been at Greens for about 9 weeks - and in that time have had about 48 GN members visit, to camp for a while, or just overnight, or just for a looksee! Currently there are I think seven GN vehicles here!
There are places in NSW like Texas or Demerasq Dam (near Armidale) that are similar - would have to look up length of stay - been to both, and really nice spots!

Saw somewhere that Demerasg Dam is about to cop a possible fee.
