Road from Cloncurry to Normanton Its good bitumen, going west the road to Bourktown. own is g ravel to Leichhardt Falls (good spot to overnight), from there it is bitumen to Bourktown. We did this road from Normanton to Bourktown last year with our 15ft caravan. Take the dirt slow, air down and you will make it. Bourktown is a lovely place, have done a lot of work there since our last visit about six years ago! Caravan park is good and there is free camping at the fishing jetty which is very spacious and good fishing there. From there we headed west and south to Gregory River and they were working on the road putting down much more bitumen. It was bitumen most of the way last year. Enjoy your trip!
