Just be careful while travelling this road please as there is serious damage throughout the area especially at the end of the new area from Bass, speed is down to 40kmh and heaps of loose stones flying around.
There has bee two people killed in the last two weeks so please don't add to the toll.
Many sections though out the Island are now reduced speed limits and will remain until end of January. 1000's of people and cars around so expect delays.

Maintenance and heavy trucks Rosie. The biggest problem is where the new road merges with the old. Real bad as not all finished yet.
When on the Island it can flood as well. The road was never constructed to handle the amount of traffic. Even the new road is breaking up in sections already
