I am considering heading the the 'famous' Greens for a shakedown trip. Can someone tell me if there is a cost to staying there? I take it that it is a powerless location, am I right?
How long wold it take to get there from Mordialloc (near Melbourne)?

Maybe 5 hours, depending on ur towing speed and route. Maybe less. No cost, no power tho!

No cost here, but no power and no shower, except bath and/or eventual swim in the lake. plenty of room, some 4 or 5 Nomads still camp around here now. There are toalets and water. In the distance of some 5 km is small place called Corop, with Petrol Station, Post Office and Shop.

It takes me 2.5hrs from Sunshine via Western ring road through Wallan, Kilmore, Heathcote and turn off just out of Heathcote through to Midland Highway turn right, once past the Corop shop is only about 5 - 10 mins, turn left in to Greens.
Some of the roads were closed last week due to fires in Wallan and Kilmore, you might want to check that out
