Around easter time we are travelling up to Moree, but am unsure which would be the better way to go,via Tamworth and up to Warialda
or via Gilgandra,Narrabri then Moree. We live in the western subs of Sydney.Which way do you think would be the hilliest or are they both much the same.
We expect to be on the road for about 2-3 weeks.

Subaru hi
To answer your question over Katoomba and out to Gigandra to Moree is just as hilly a the other but flatter towards the end and longer.
Only lately we come down from Brisbane via the New England Highway to Singleton then to Windsor via the Putty Road. A secondary road with ups and downs, twist but a well maintained road, really enjoy the relaxed time with ample over taking places, good areas to pull over and let faster traffic though, perhaps a little more fuel used but once again enjoyed the quietness on our way to Oakdale.
Up though Tamworth is good with great spots to stay at Bingara, Yetman. Cheers.
