This place is a real gem, $10 per night, no power but plenty of good potable water, with new taps installed around the lake. Big grassy sites and the owner Ian supplies heaps of wood for a great campfire and also allows individual camp fires provided they are up off the ground. (i.e in a pig or similar). He also provides tourist info packs and is very helpful providing info on things to do and see. provides free maps to local shopping and toilet dump point location about five minutes away. Great cafe/restaurant on site and fishing is permissable in one of the lakes. Only 4 kilometres from the city.

Sounds like a real good GN spot - just the way we like to camp - thanks for letting us know.

Came from there a week ago. Good clean, safe place to set up while exploring Launceston and surrounds. Still $10.00 per night, plus $2.00 if you fill your tanks with water.
