An older couple arise early on their 50th wedding anniversary. The old man sits at the kitchen table while his beloved wife fixes breakfast.
Before heating the frying pan she picks it up and brings it down hard on the old man's head...knocking him out of his chair.
Groggily, he picks himself up and asks, "Whut th' heck wuz that fer!?"
The old lady squints at him and hisses, "That's fer bein' a lousy lover all these years!" And with that she turns back to preparing breakfast.
The old man, recovering from the assault, picks up a large sauce pan off of the counter and beans the old woman just above the ear with the flat bottom. The woman staggers back and plops down on her rump.
Rubbing at the stinging pain in her head she queries, "Whut in blue blazes wuz that fer!?"
The old man's eyes narrow and he growls, "That's fer knowin' th' difference!"
