Have stayed at Possum Park three times now and just love the rustic and layed back charm of the unique caravan park, the hosts David and Julie cant do enough to make your stay pleasant, ideal place for grey nomads to chill out and enjoy nature.
19 klms from Miles it is built on an old airforce ammunition storage area, and some of the bunkers have been converted into bungalows, also some old railway carriages have also been turned into accommodation and they are in the process of converting an old TAA airliner into accommodation as well, there are also powered caravan sites and camping areas.
A truly wonderful peacefull place to stay.

G'Day Ogre,
We are heading up that way (on our way to Rockhampton),and will hopefully be staying there , mid to late April.
We have passed there a few times on our trips, but never stopped, this year we thought we would.
I've checked out their website, however they don't give a price for powered sites,or any other prices.
Would you be able to advise on what they are please.
Thanks
Peterpan.

The majority of campers paid $25/night. See Badgers report.
Thanks PeterD,
I have contracted Dougwe's memory problems and completely forgot Badgers.
I think the memory loss thing is contractable via the internet,"cos I haven't met Dougwe yet.
Thanks again
Stayed at Possum Park 26 & 27 April, great park, friendly staff. Julie ,David,John & Stan couldn't be more helpful
I can only say the same as Ogre. Still $25 pn.
