Urana Shire has upgraded their little CP at Urana (SE of Narrandera) and worth a detour to use it. Sits by a great lake with walking tracks etc. CP manager greets you with hot scones on arrival. Complimentary bath mats in bathroom. Happy hour arranged (unless wet). Windscreen washed the morning you leave.
All for $19/night/powered

Sounded great, just took a look.
Sounds like a park for water sports etc. noisy?

Yep. $30 a night powered.
It seems to have a lot going for it.
My traveling companion from Canberra and I were looking at Moama this morning and I found Urana as a joint halfway point stopover.
It looks like a little gem of a find.
Walking track, free golf on a rough course, a Museum with the late Queens hat maker samples, by the water.
Also read a post about the yabbies in the lake - yum.
An old bushie once taught me the p** cord extraction technique twisting the middle tail section to remove the offending cord pre cook.
I grimace when I see "professional" cooks on TV cooking yabbies.
Their methods with p** cord intact would have more protein than my methods!!!
Info says skiing and boating but I wonder if they would gravitate more to the nearby larger salt lake?
