Hi we are headed to SA after Xmas and want to explore these two places before heading across the Nullarbor to explore WA. Any suggestions of free or low cost Pet friendly sites would be greatly appreciated, we do have Camps 7 and Wiki camps. Just like to hear from people who have actually been at these sites, so we dont end up disappointed. We are self contained, our only issue would be water as is everyone elses.
Thanks David and Chris

If you browse back through the SA part of this site you will find plenty of reports on both peninsulas.
Some great campsites all along the SA coast.

We found a lot of great places like Kimba, Kyancutta, Pildappa Rock and many others via wikicamps.
As sandsmere has said there are many other glorious places in SA, most with dump points as well.... bonus
Cheers

Hi Dave and Chris,
There is free camping at Fitzgerald Bay just before Whyalla, no facilities but a dump point at Point Lowly
Thanks for the info, will check all these places out in the New Year.
Thank you.

There is an overnight free camp at the Kimba Lions Park, enough room for about 6 rigs, clean toilets and a free electric BBQ. It can get a bit noisy with the semi's coming through the town to and from the west. Another great camp site (donation) is on the eastern side of the Eyre Peninsula just south of Cowell called Port Gibbon, toilet and water available. When we stayed there were a lot of campers many who left earlier and returned. Happy hour around 5pm each night in a nice shady spot in the trees.

Iron Knob is another popular camping spot just off the highway
