Random Breath Test Bit of a slow day at the office, but you just never know where they will turn up!

I was tested at the junction of the Cabramurrra Road and Snowy Mtns Hwy at Kiandra one friday afternoon at 4:00 pm. When I asked why there - if they caught anyone there and at that time, the officer replied that they can strike at any place and at any time. I was even tested at Narooma at about 6:30 am Christmas day a few years ago. I guess the point is that if you do drink, it takes time to clear your system and you can get sprung the next day if you have had a skinful. Incidentally, I thoroughly agree with RBT - I reckon the roads are much safer because of it. Most people I know are very aware of the RBT and they limit their consumption acccordingly. Yous till get the idiots though...

Up at Roper Bar had been raining for about a week - we were driving out with mud up to our armpits - flagged down by the boys in Tan - "just checking that you are wearing seatbelts".

About 15kms out of Laverton W.A. on last trip....not a sole for miles...Police drove out from behind the few trees,...pulled me over and said they were doing Registration and Licence check...they did say check and not checks because that would indicate plural checks...and there was no-one else there except wife and myself....they were very decent/pleasant however and waved us on after checking...perhaps some folk in that area are known to drive without registration or licence?.....in a way I found it comforting to know they were in the locale......Hoo Roo
