There may be a pun or three here.......my brother has been the only one in our family, to sustain his effort..he is a Police Reporter..Once a week he has to report to the Police..although my sister did have a job as a Public Relations Officer in a tampon factory....she used to put a 'get well' card in every packet...
1. My first job was working in an orange factory,....but I got canned...I just couldn't concentrate...it also took me an hour to get to work...and that was well after I got to the factory..
2. Then I worked in Forestry as a lumberjack...but I just couldn't hack it...so they gave me the axe..
3.After that I tried being a tailor..I knew the interview hadn't gone well, when the boss made a paper plane out of my application form.....but found I wasn't suited for it..anyway I found it just a sew sew job.....
4.Then I tried working at Starbucks Coffee....but I had to quit..I got tired of the same old grind....
5. Next I was a chef's apprentice....figured it would add spice to my dreary life.....but I just didn't have the thyme....
6. Then I tried out in a Deli,....but any way I sliced it....I just couldn't cut the mustard..
7. I enjoyed being a musician, however everyone eventually agreed I wasn't noteworthy.....so thought of being a comedian, but I was afraid folk would laugh at me...
8. I originally studied to be a Doctor....but I didn't have any patience....
9. next up was in a shoe factory..I tried hard...but I just didn't fit in....
10. After that I got a fishing Licence and became a fisherman,.....but soon discovered I couldn't live on my net income...
11. I did manage to get a job at a pool maintenance company,....but the work was too draining....
12. So after that came a job at a workout centre,.....but management said I wasn't fit for the job.....
13. After so many years of trying to find steady work, I finally got a job as a historian,...but I realized there was no future in it.....
14. The worst job I ever had was at Worths' Circus where I had to circumcise the elephants..the pay wasn't much, but the tips were enormous....
15. I really got taken with one job offer....it was as a Doorman at a leading Hotel chain....they told me it was a job with plenty of openings....
the best offer for work said it entailed 'driving away customers'...until I found out it was as a Taxi Driver....

..... remember the old adage...All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.....and Jill a wealthy widow.....
So now I have tried retirement.....and we are perfectly compatible....for the first six days I do nothing....and then rest on the Sundays.....
