The old grey nomad caravanned into the town and decided to stop there for the evening as it was getting late and he needed to rest. He parked his rig in a quiet shady spot and went for a short stroll to stretch his legs. Shortly he came upon the town's local hall, where there must have been some sort of meeting to be held, as there were plenty of people filing in. As grey nomads are an adventurous and curious kind he went inside to see what what going on. The hall was filled to capacity, with only a few seats left up the back, so that's where he went and sat down. Out the front he could see a very large banner with "Spiritualists Society" written on it and draped over the stage. The person seated next to him didn't recognise him, and assuming he was a visitor told him that this was the annual general meeting of the district's Spiritualists Society, an organisation whose members are interested in ghosts, spirits, and anything supernatural.
The noise amongst the crowd quickly hushed as the proceedings got underway. "Welcome members and guests to the Spiritualists Society AGM. Now before we get underway with the evening's formailities, could I have a show of hands to see how many among you have actually seen a ghost." Many hands go up, possibly around half the audience. "Wow", exclaimed the speaker, "That's quite a few of you. Now, leave your hand up if you have actually had a conversation with a ghost." Most hands go down, but there are a few remaining up. "Extraordinary! You people have actually had a conversation with a ghost. Now, let's go into unchartered territory. Put your hand up if you have actually had sexual relations with a ghost."
This time all hands remain down, however after a few moments the old grey nomad up the back of the hall slowly raises his hand. "Sir!" enthuses the speaker, "I can't believe it! Please, come down the front and share with us your experience! You have actually had sexual relations with a ghost! We have never before met anybody who has had such a close and meaningful encounter with a ghost." The old grey nomad slowly walks down to the front and nervously addresses the audience.
"This is very embarrassing," he said. "I actually thought you said goat."
