Thanks for your support from that original reaction to the post it made me feel that maybe this site maybe too politically correct for some old rough nut too be a member .
but it seemed a strange reaction as most nomads have sense of humour, some threads probably mine from time to time may push the boundaries, but it's not deliberate and hopefully on very rare .

Well - I don't see what Santa's problem is? What is in poor taste? The dog leaning against the wall like his master - what is wrong with that? The dog obviously loves and obeys his owner.
You know what else PC stands for - poppyc o c k!

Santa is entitled to his opinion without comment I reckon. I saw no problem with the cartoon or Santa's comment.
Good Luck.

Black humour always treads a fine line between humour and bad taste, but I saw nothing that would offend my aboriginal friend. In fact I'll ask him what he thinks.

Well, he says that it cracked him up as soon as he saw it. He says he was laughing at these sorts of things back in primary school, "no offence taken". However, he knows "heaps who would [be offended]" by the joke, perhaps because they may not understand the satirical nature of it.

I don't know about political correctness, to me its political convenience. It tends to be brought forward to suit one's purposes. That is MY opinion.

I see it as satirical social commentary. It highlights the plight of black people by ridiculing the police. I truly find it difficult to interpret it in any other way.
