We bought a 18 month old Golden Eagle van privately. it is pre wired for a camera with the 4 pin round connector at the tow ball end but no camera or sign of the cable at the rear.
Seller said it came prewired but didn't know where the other end was.
Rang the manufacturer but they couldn't help.
The cable goes into the chassis and then through the floor at the front of the van. I cannot trace it from there.
Any clues?
Thanks
Dale

Hopefully if anyone with that type of van, has a rear mounted camera, they will have a look, and let you know
It is strange that the manufacturer can not help, I thought that it was only Jayco, who do not have a wiring diagram

Look up near central roof inside
and outside.
That's where most are fitted.
If it "prewired" you'd think it would be to near camera fitment area??.
Let us know hey.

Paramount is in a white junction box inside cupboard at rear, pretty well spot on for camera, just need to drill thru to outside, I think Golden Eagle owned by Paramount. You can also change the plug end to get a match with new tow vehicle if you want.there are cp brass ones with screw on dust cap.

Hi
Craig 1 was on the money. Right where he said in a white junction box. I would have looked for ages. (In fact I had crawled around under and over looking for it)
Thanks Craig 1. Also to Macka who was on the right track
I have only been a member here for a few days and here is a great tip that is spot on already.
Gotta be happy with that
Dale

Hi Tony Bev
Thanks for responding. Seems you are right. There are other caravan manufacturers without wiring diagrams
All the best

Hey Dale,
You can also get a camera that has a microphone that comes through to monitor. cant tell the brand as the sticker fell off, but works great when backing into tight spot, spoken words better than hand signals i reckon. cheers

Hi Dale,Safety Dave from Melb do cameras with mics and I can vouch for their great operation.I also had a warrenty issue with my van cable but to verify it Safety Dave sent me a test camera to verify the rig was ok,at no cost and let me keep the camera.Dont get that service from the cheap importers, cheers Brian

That's a great suggestion to do a camera with a mic. hearing things rather than trying to interpret flapping arms should make things easier.
Fantastic idea and the way to go. I will google safety Dave to see what he can do. Ebay has some but I don't know the quality?

In my experience from safety dave's prices it's no wonder they let you keep the camera.
All of the products that they sell to the best of my knowledge come from China and are readily available through ebay or Aliexpress considerably cheaper.
You will have wait a few weeks for delivery though.
