However if you are looking for a way to obtain decent resolution of the Received Signal Strength Indicator and set up various other involved aspects of your mobile connection then you may well be interested in this software:

I shall be making a 850MHz yagi soon as I discovered that connecting a 2m J Pole into the Telstra/Huawei E353T modem provided around 7db of gain which, in a bush mobile situation, is well worth having so a resonant beam antenna should do better.

For <A$15 I could not make it although I would have preferred two or three more elements.
If you do wish to buy one note that it is terminated in a female 'N' type connector and only has 30mm or so of tail.
