We do not have a 5th wheeler. We own a 20ft Winjana caravan, had it from new [7 years]. Winjana`s caravans are well built.
They build a 5th wheeler that has the same floor plan as our van. You do not climb up steps to get into bed.
I know a few people who have Winjana 5th wheelers and they are very pleased with them.

Hi RiverRat we don't have a winjana so can't help with that but I would certainly encourage you to go with the 5th wheeler as the safest way to tow and more living space for the same overall length

G'Day
I have been on the road full time for 8 months with a Winjana Ormistion 630 with Ranger 3.2
The van handles well and is stable on the road, tow as fast as you want to pay for fuel.
Minor issues
1. Draw slide rear mounts are a know breakage issue, they are Jayco sourced and Jayco have a newer stronger mount, once replaced no problem
2. Watch weights in upper cupboards (my fault too many food cans)
3. Do not put pans directly under the sink they will bash the water filter and cause it to leak, again my problem
4. About to replace PWM solar controller with MPPT
5. Ensure external sealing is renewed every year, the van flexes and this together with the weather breaks down the seal, I have seen the results of letting this go and it is not good
6. Replaced interior white LED with warm LED, personal prefernce
I do not have any experience with other vans but the stability, maneuverability and handling are exceptional. One man handling, hookup an drop off is great. Storage is very good.

No hesitation in recommending Winjana
Cheers
I see they are going to a better suspension now - Timbren suspension
