Headin' to the BRB are we?
That road to Windorah is fine but the other tracks that cut across the SA corner are all closed due to long term flooding.

Be aware that the Big Red Bash is on 4 - 6 July and around 6,000 people will be heading to Birdsville from all over the country with tents, campers and caravans and every road around there will be very busy.
Should there be rain on the Birdsville track they usually close it and that road then becomes the main path to Birdsville.

If you don't have tickets for the BRB I suggest you change your schedule to miss the event if. I had not heard about it until I was on my war so I went through Winton and Boulia instead of Windorah. The place was back to normal by the time I got there.

It will also be busy out that way last week of August and First week of September for the Birdsville Races. Winton has an opal festival early Sept and then another festival late September.
